Why this site exists
Most coffee writing is about what's in the cup. Origin, roast, extraction. That matters, and we'll cover it. But ask people about their favorite café and they rarely start with the beans. They talk about the window seat, the barista who remembers their order, the friend they meet there every other Thursday.
Shopcentralperk exists for that side of coffee. Our belief is simple: great coffee is only part of what makes a café memorable. The rest is conversation, comfort, community, atmosphere and personality, and it's worth writing about with the same care.
Who it's for
Café regulars and remote workers. Students hunting for a good study table. Home baristas building a coffee corner. People buying a gift for the coffee lover in their life. Friends fans who love the idea of a neighborhood hangout. And café owners who want to see their space the way customers do. We write for readers across the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia and Europe, with a soft spot for Conway, Myrtle Beach and the Grand Strand.

How we write and check stories
- We say how we know things. A product we used gets labeled as tested. A product we researched gets labeled as researched.
- We don't invent café visits, product tests, quotes or statistics.
- We link the sources behind factual claims so you can check them.
- Opinions are written as opinions.
- Ads are clearly marked. Sponsored stories are labeled as sponsored at the top. Advertisers don't approve or edit our editorial work.
- If we get something wrong, we fix it and note the change. You can flag an error through our contact page.
One more thing: we're an independent publication. We're not affiliated with Warner Bros., Friends, Central Perk or any café brand, and we don't sell merchandise that uses their names or artwork.
